From a historic estate that has been making wine since the 1400s. Verdicchio means the "little green one" in reference to the color of the grape and the resulting wine.
Verdicchio is grown across Italy, but is at its best here in the Marche region, perched above the Adriatic Sea. These wines are surprisingly ageworthy. There is a 2022 vintage on its way but having tasted a "mini vertical" of several vintages, the 2020 was the clear winner. This is functionally a riserva wine, and for $16 quite the bargain.
100% Verdicchio. Serve cold.
