If you've ever been curious to try "skin contact" or "orange" wines, this is the one to start with! Skin contact whites spend a very limited amount of time on the grape skins, which impart a tiny amount of orange or copper color to the wine.
Orange wines are all the rage in places like New York and other larger markets, but I actually tend to like very few of them (they can be weird). This... is not weird. It is very, very beautiful in fact. It has a personality all its own, with mouthwatering notes of dried fruit, herbs, minerals, apricot, and white peach. My goodness there is a lot going on here.
There is precious little of this wine made, but I bought a couple of cases so Tidewater folks can try something new. Highly recommended.
100% Inzolia. Serve cold.
