I'm shocked this wine is even available in this market. For years I had to order this wine from New York for our personal cellar.
Gianni Brunelli (in my opinion) is one of the best two or three producers in Montalcino. These are exceptionally pretty wines that handsomely reward cellaring.
Dark fruit, then notes of strawberry, rose, and mint. This vintage is slightly less tannic than others, but I would still recommend 2-3 years of additional bottle age.
100% Sangiovese. This will improve indefinitely in a cool, dark place. Serve cool with extended decant if opening sooner.
