This is the first of the rosés that I pre-ordered back in January to arrive, and it's a very fine way to welcome in warmer weather. This is deeper in color than the very palest rosés, but it's bone dry and has that little bit of austerity that makes rosé so refreshing to drink. There are also lots of little raspberry and blood orange notes.
This is a rock-solid rosé that will work well with a wide variety of dishes and drinks well by itself. Miles ahead of anything you'll find on the grocery store shelf.
40% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, 5% Carignan, 5% Mourvedre. Serve cold.
