The Chalmers family was the first to import the fantastic Sicilian grape Nero d'Avola into Australia. Although if you blinded me on this I would still have said it was from Sicily. Such is the strong varietal character of the grape.
This is so good. Cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, graphite, and little punchy tannin all chime in. Whether you like Italian reds or even if you're a fan of Beaujolais, this could be the wine for you.
100% Nero d'Avola. Serve cool.
