The all-time, undisputed holiday classic. This has the added twist of being made from vineyards that qualify for the Beaujolais-Villages status, rather than the generic “Beaujolais”. Beaujolais Nouveau is fresh, fruity, and ideally suited to the holiday table. This punches well above its weight in terms of quality, and has been a Richmond classic for many years. While I continue to encourage wine drinkers to explore the highest rung in Beaujolais - Cru Beaujolais - there is no denying this wine. 100% Gamay and lots of fun. This is best served slightly chilled.
