While my usual complaint about this wine's label persists, once again, like its Cabernet counterpart, it totally overdelivers for this price. This is made by the Avennia winery in Washington State, which also produces $100+ Cabernet.
Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre aka "GSM" are the typical grape varieties in wines like Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Cotes-du-Rhone. So sort of a West Coast spin on a Rhone classic.
Grenache, Syrah, & Mourvèdre. Serve cool.
