While there are still oceans and oceans of very mediocre "plonk" shipped to the US each year, a great Pinot Grigio remains one of the best options for a refreshing, crisp white. The key is to look at cooler climates like Alto-Adige, or in this case, Delle Venezie, which is the winegrowing region closest to Venice.
Pinot Grigio is a relatively low acid grape, and in warmer areas of Italy it loses steam and is fairly heavy-tasting. This one is not! This is a very good estate and they've clearly paid special attention to turning out a Pinot Grigio that is a joy to drink and is super food-friendly.
100% Pinot Grigio. Serve cold.
